The way we position our ideas matters. Framing can be the difference between whether our ideas cut through or get drowned out, and whether people lean in and support our solutions or reject them out of hand. Framing matters a lot right now. The words we choose, the images we advance, the values we endorse, and the metaphors we deploy have become a matter of life and death.

We are in the midst of a serious shock to society, with as-yet-undecided consequences for our understandings of how the world works, how we live in it, and what needs to be done to improve it. This shock will shape the bedrock of our culture moving forward. It will affect how we orient and engage with each other. It will shape the solutions we see as important. It will shape what is possible and what is not.

For this Network Virtual Roundtable, we’ll be joined by FrameWorks CEO Nat Kendall-Taylor, who will discuss framing choices that can be used to navigate messages in the current context and open up opportunities for change going forward.

We’ll cover:

  • How to frame your messaging in the current crisis
  • Effective ways of framing government responsibility
  • How framing now can and will set up future change
