New Staff Retreat
New to Philanthropy? Curious about how foundations really work? Looking to build your network and grow your confidence in this space?
Join us at PSW’s New Staff Retreat —a unique, supportive experience designed just for foundation professionals in their first few years on the job.
PROGRAM GOAL
To create an open, practical forum for newer staff to explore the “how” and “why” of working in philanthropy—from the unspoken norms to the day-to-day realities no one puts in a handbook.
Or, put another way:
Everything I needed to know… but nobody told me.
OBJECTIVES

- Build a sense of community and peer support among those new to the philanthropic field
- Spark ongoing mentor/mentee relationships between seasoned and new staff
- Help participants name and own their unique contributions to the field
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Foundation staff (below the CEO level) with two years or less of experience in philanthropy
PROGRAM ENVIRONMENT
