The Dallas Foundation On-boards Community Leaders to Organization’s Board

New members bring diverse qualifications, innovative perspectives to philanthropic hub

DALLAS (August 10, 2020) – Three noted Dallas leaders, whose leadership and perspectives reflect the evolving Dallas landscape, recently joined The Dallas Foundation’s 2020 class of board members. These additions reflect President and CEO Matthew Randazzo’s intentional focus on impact, and strategy, and his commitment to engage individuals who bring diverse experiences and expertise to The Dallas Foundation.

The newest members of the Foundation’s governing body include:

• Trevor R. Rees-Jones, vice president of Rees-Jones Holdings, where he manages an impact investing portfolio for the Dallas-based family office. He also serves on the board of Big Thought. Trevor and his wife are donor-advised fund holders at The Dallas Foundation.

• Amber Scanlan, senior vice-president and director of client and community relations for PNC Bank, where she leads all philanthropic giving on behalf of PNC and PNC Foundation in Dallas-Fort Worth. She also serves on the board of directors for Texans Care for Children, First3Years and Early Matters Dallas.
• W. Kelvin Walker, chief executive officer of Dallas Citizens Council, rejoins The Dallas Foundation board as advisor to the organization’s Investments Committee. Kelvin previously served on the Foundation’s board of governors from 2011-2017, as well as the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ Business and Advisory Council through 2018. He is also a trustee of the YMCA Retirement Fund.

Jeanne Whitman Bobbitt continues her service as chair of the board.

“Amber, Trevor and Kelvin each bring considerable community knowledge and myriad experiences along with their demonstrated commitment to the well-being and future of Dallas,” said Board Chair Jeanne Whitman Bobbitt. “I look forward to working alongside them, as well as our donors and nonprofit partners, in our efforts to reduce child poverty, racial inequities, and economic disparities in Dallas.”

Continuing their leadership roles on the Foundation’s board of governors are: Lydia B. Addy; Steffen Fuchs; Chris Luna; S. Todd Maclin; Clint V. McDonnough, secretary; Mark Okada; Elizabeth Carlock Phillips; Catherine Rose; Lizzie H. Routman; Jeremy Smith; Michael J. Sorrell; Mary K. Suhm and Patsy Woods-Martin.
