This interactive report overviews giving from private and community foundations to grant recipients through Colorado from 2018-2022. 

El Pomar Foundation’s 2024 Foundation Giving in Colorado report relies on a dataset built in collaboration with the Community Resource Center (CRC). CRC collects grant data annually through a combination of data requests to foundations and records that are publicly available on IRS Form 990 filings.

Funding is assigned to one of five categories: Arts & Culture, Civic & Community, Education, Health, or Human Services. If a project description was provided, this was used to code the grant category. If there was none, the grant category was determined from the mission of the grant recipient organization.
