PSW Committees and Volunteer Opportunities

PSW Committees and Volunteer Opportunities

One of the many ways our members become involved in Philanthropy Southwest is by serving on a committee.

  • Committee members recommend and develop policies that help shape our organization's work.
  • The commitment level for each committee varies, but there is an expectation that members will attend three meetings per year (2 in person) and are willing to participate in independent projects as they arise.
  • We encourage members to choose committees that are best suited to their professional strengths and/or interests.

Consider getting involved with one of these committees:

Audit & Finance
Membership
Public Policy
Communications
Annual Conference
Professional Learning
Board of Directors

Timeline:

Committee interest and recruitment takes place in late fall.

Committees meet from January 1 - December 31.

Committee membership depends on the availability of open slots and, in certain instances, a proper skills match.

Another way to volunteer - short-term/periodic support:

If you don't have the time or flexibility to be involved on a committee for a year, we invite you to help with short-term events or projects, like teaching or co-teaching at a seminar in your area of expertise, hosting a gathering in your office or community, or meeting with legislators in your area. Questions? Email us.
