Key to the association continuing to provide high value to its members is ensuring a diverse membership that is representative of the communities we serve in the southwestern U.S. Our members benefit and their grantmaking efforts thrive when they are able to connect with and learn from other members who offer a range of views, values, expertise. As well, a fully representative membership strengthens our collective voice in advocating for policies that safeguard philanthropy and support a strong third sector.

We would like to request our members' help in further strengthening and growing the diversity of Philanthropy Southwest.

Through the Each One Reach One campaign, each member of Philanthropy Southwest is being asked to reach out to a colleague in at least one non-member foundation to convey the benefits of being a member of our association. Each member of Philanthropy Southwest’s robust network – some 1,600 trustees and 700 staff from 230 private, community, operating and corporate foundations that conduct grantmaking in the southwestern U.S. – has a unique network. We want to include the voices and insights of others from your network who you believe can help to guide, protect, and strengthen philanthropy in our region.

Information and comments from members about the benefits they have realized through membership in Philanthropy Southwest are available to support your conversations. You may want to share some of these views, as well as offer your own thoughts in asking others to consider membership. As well, please let those you talk with know that through this campaign first-time members will receive a 30% discount off their dues for the first year of membership.
