Philanthropy Southwest is excited to announce the launch of the Native, Indigenous, and Tribal Collaborative powered by Casey Family Programs and in partnership with Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP). Our collaboratives are thoughtfully curated experiential learning programs designed to provide our members a deeper look into important issues facing grantmakers today.

This multi-session, hybrid initiative aims to foster awareness, enhance education, and build meaningful engagement with Native and Tribal communities throughout the Southwest. This is an opportunity to build authentic partnerships and make a lasting impact together. We hope you will join us for this important work to shape a more inclusive and equitable future for Native and Tribal communities across our region.

What To Expect

The Native, Indigenous, and Tribal Collaborative is designed to deepen understanding of the social and funding challenges faced by Native people and provide participants with the tools and resources to support Tribes most effectively. This collective effort will strengthen relationships and investments in Indian Country within the service region of Philanthropy Southwest.

Participation in this collaborative is open to funders who are members of Philanthropy Southwest and/or Native Americans in Philanthropy.

There are two in-person sessions (December 4-5, 2025 in Phoenix) and February 2026 (Oklahoma City, OK). All other monthly sessions will be one hour virtual webinars. Visit the Schedule tab for more details. 

Participation Benefits

• Education and Awareness: Engage in a program designed to enhance understanding of Native and Indigenous cultures, histories, and current challenges.

Participation Information

• Modality: Hybrid
• Cost: $2,500* per participant (does not include participant travel or lodging for any in-person sessions)

*Please note there is a $500 discount for each additional participant from the same PSW member organization. To receive the discount, all participants from the organization must be registered together. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. All registrations are final and non-refundable two weeks prior to the first session. During checkout, you will also have the option to add the Grounded Leadership Retreat May 4-6, 2026 at Laity Lodge in Leakey, TX at a special collaborative member rate of $699 per participant. Any remaining spots will later be made available to PSW members at the full rate of $899.
