With support from The Simmons Foundation, the Center for Disaster Philanthropy is hosting a Hurricane Harvey Recovery Funder Briefing. This briefing will feature Rachel Leon, Executive Director of Environmental Grantmakers, and Jacqui Patterson, Senior Director, Environmental and Climate Justice Program, NAACP.
The briefing is designed to be a valuable method of educating local and national grantmakers on best practices in disaster philanthropy, as well as informing the audience of new funds being established. This information exchange is critical for encouraging collaboration, and ensuring there are no major gaps in funding the needs of affected communities.
