Texas Child Welfare Funders Sponsors TexProtects Legislative Update Tour
Philanthropy Southwest's affinity group, Texas Child Welfare Funders, is sponsoring seven virtual educational events for funders this fall that will cover child welfare legislative updates and the dire shortage of foster beds in Texas right now. TexProtects will cover both topics and more in its Texas Tour, which will address issues regionally. All times are CST.

- TexProtects and Paso del Norte Children’s Development Center (PdN Children’s) are partnering to host a community discussion on the results of the recent legislative session. We want to hear from you on recommended interim charges to ensure Texas families are supported and children are safe. We look forward to your participation as we have breakout discussions on smart solutions to intervene before and after a crisis, including prevention strategies and early childhood education, addressing the placement capacity crisis, and what outcomes we should measure to ensure child safety and wellbeing.
