Virtual Town Hall for Southwest Funders in the Face of COVID-19

Thursday, May 21, 2020 -
10:30am to 12:00pm CDT

On March 19, Philanthropy Southwest convened 80+ foundation leaders across the Southwest for a conversation in how the grantmaking community has responded to the COVID-19 global pandemic in their communities. This May, we will reconvene Southwest funders for a deeper conversation on the challenges and opportunities facing foundations. Join PSW Board Chair Matt Carpenter of El Pomar Foundation in Colorado and other philanthropic leaders throughout the Southwestern region as they discuss the broader financial impact of this crisis on foundation budgets, make tough decisions, and assess other long-range planning during and post-pandemic.

Webinar panelists include:

Margaret Black, Director, Lyda Hill Philanthropies
Froswa’ Booker-Drew, Vice President of Community Affairs, Strategic Alliances, State Fair of Texas
Matt Carpenter, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, El Pomar Foundation
Joanna Colangelo, Vice President of Community Impact, Albuquerque Community Foundation
Regan Moffitt, Chief Strategy Officer, Winthrop-Rockefeller Foundation
Mary Jane Rynd, President and CEO, Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust
