The employees of Orix Americas are tackling some of North Texas’ most challenging issues — from hunger and family violence to homelessness and education — by applying skills from what they do best: making good investments. The Orix Foundation, the employee-led charitable arm of the Dallas-based financial services company, has announced a new round of grants in North Texas. It gave $1.3 million to 69 North Texas nonprofit groups that focus on the region’s vulnerable populations, including impoverished families, children at risk and veterans.
