San Angelo, Texas - Last week, the San Angelo Health Foundation announced grant Awards totaling $1,269,788. Six area non-profit organizations were selected to receive project funding:

  • Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley $1 million toward a residential treatment facility and Detox Center 
  • Concho Valley Home for Girls/Children's Emergency Shelter $49,788 for improvements and furnishings for the Children's Emergency Shelter 
  • New Horizons $30,000 toward foster placement services for children from the San Angelo area 
  • Odeon Preservation Association $25,000 to renovate the Odeon Theatre in Mason,Texas 
  • San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts $15,000 to establish an En Plein Air competition in San Angelo 
  • Young Life San Angelo $150,000 over three years for organizational support and to establish a program for teen mothers
