Legacy of Leadership Awards

Award candidates were reviewed, and recipients selected by the Legacy of Leadership Awards Committee, a PSW volunteer committee.

Equity In Action Collaborative

The Equity In Action (EIA) Collaborative is the result of thoughtful planning and development by PSW members, aiming to equip philanthropic leaders with the tools and knowledge to advance grantmaking across the Southwest. This collaborative provides a safe and collaborative learning environment where PSW members can explore how their organizational leadership, community work, and grantmaking can contribute to access to opportunity and prosperity for all individuals in the region.

The EIA Collaborative features content delivered by national experts and external partners who are driving the larger conversations on the intersections of philanthropy. This initiative is designed to help you:

  • Gain Practical Tools: Learn how to incorporate equity into your leadership, grantmaking, and community work.
  • Connect with Peers: Foster meaningful connections with other PSW members who share a commitment to advancing equity in philanthropy.
  • Learn from Experts: Engage with thought leaders from across the country who bring valuable insights into equity and social justice.

Prior to forming the EIA Collaborative, PSW has developed essential tools to guide your grantmaking journey:

  • Grantmaking Toolkit: A detailed resource offering best practices for your grantmaking.
  • State of Philanthropy in the Southwest: A deep dive within the region, designed to inform funders of critical disparities and areas of need.
  • Index Tool: This tool helps measure progress in advancing excellent grantmaking, providing valuable data to guide your efforts.

These resources are available for PSW members to assist in their ongoing grantmaking work.

About Peer Networks

Philanthropy Southwest members may join PSW Peer Networks to connect with and learn from other leaders in philanthropy who share their personal and/or professional interests.
